OBJECTIVES

The objective of the Symposium is to identify, discuss and formulate opportunities in Renewables Energies arising from the transition from fossil fuels to zero carbon economies across the regions of Africa.

The forum will comprise of interactive discussion sessions on specific subjects and technologies including Battery Power, Solar, Microgrids, Wind, Geothermal, Hydraulic Energy and how best local content can partner investors in their local power sectors, distributed over two (2) days described below

Julio Herbas

Julio, Founder and CEO of MineaOil Limited, is a Petroleum Engineer professional with extensive experience in the upstream and mid-stream oil and gas sectors, focused to production optimization and enhanced oil recovery application, carbon capture and storage, renewables energies, evaluation, planning and operation of renewable energies, geothermal, solar and wind. Hands-on in offshore and onshore developments, reservoir, wells, production facilities, water and gas injection, economics, risks and uncertainty analysis. Worldwide experience working with international and national operators as BP, Maersk, Tullow Oil, Xodus Group, io oil and gas consulting, PDVSA, Intevep, and joint ventures with Total, Statoil, and Shell.

Arnoldo Perez Michelangeli

Arnoldo is a petroleum engineer from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, expert in energy with more than 40 years’ experience in oil, gas production and treatment focused in new renewable energies, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage, Hydrogen and Geothermal, electricity generation from hot co -produced water from oil fields, crude and gas production. Wide operational experience of crude and gas production, lifting systems, crude separation, dehydration, desalting, transport and shipment; water treatment and injection. Expert in Orimulsion a heavy oil energy source for electricity generation process, including Bitumen treatment and mixing with water and surfactants, storage, pumping, shipping, and combustion

Reinaldo Alberto Ramírez Álvarez

Reinaldo Alberto Ramírez Álvarez, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of expertise in directing and managing technology and operations for the Energy sector including Natural Energy Resources. Director/Senior Manager of RamRei Energy since 2018, he excels in project execution, technology deployment, financial management, and operational excellence on a global scale. Reinaldo’s career highlights include successfully leading and implementing projects, reducing budgets and timeframes, optimizing organizational performance, and achieving substantial cost savings. His tenure at Equinor, KEY ENERGY SERVICES, Halliburton, and SINCOR reflects a track record of deploying new ventures, optimizing logistics, and managing projects across international markets. Holds an MBA and master’s in mechanical engineering
